This week, we will begin our study of amphibians by learning about frogs and toads. We will discuss the similarities and differences between reptiles and amphibians. We will learn about their habitats and what they eat. We will learn new vocabulary words and play some new games. We will also create new art projects. We will continue to work on name and letter recognition, numbers 1-20, and sorting and matching concepts. We will practice writing our letters in our names, learning beginning sounds, and putting those sounds together.
To learn more about this study of reptiles, amphibians, and animal habitats, we will take a field trip to NC Museum of Natural Science in Raleigh. This field trip will take place on April 15, 2015. Please make sure you have filled out the volunteer packet so you can attend this trip with your child. After this field trip we will go into a study of bugs and
insects.
